We are currently seeking an experienced and hard working refrigeration mechanic with 5+ post apprenticeship years experience to join The Cooling Company.   Our clients include shops, warehouses and industrial complexes in the hospitality, pub and clubs, aged care, medical, hospital, farming, manufacturing and brewery industries.

We require a professional, hardworking and well presented applicant, with the ability to work both as a team and independently unsupervised.  You will need to be polite and courteous to customers, while also having the ability to work under pressure and manage your workload. Possession of initiative to overcome challenges and solve problems faced is highly valued. You will also need to be able to work within all the industries listed above.

The suitable applicant will have a strong knowledge and understanding of both refrigeration and air conditioning systems on a commercial scale, with experience in fault finding and diagnosis for Cold room and freezer rooms, ice machines, glycol systems, upright and under bench fridges, commercial air conditioning systems, asset management systems.

The following minimum qualifications are required for any suitable applicant; 

​

- Certificate III trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning 

- Blue card

- Construction white card

- Restricted electrical licence

- Current CPR/LVR training 

- Full ARCTICK refrigerant handling licence

The below qualifications are of benefit to your role;

- Current forklift licence

- Current working at heights

- Current confined spaces

All employees are provided with a fully maintained work vehicle, uniforms, phone or phone allowance, above award salary based on technical experience and performance, we are also proud to offer a flexible family friendly work environment where scheduled time off is supported and encouraged.  Overtime available during peak season. You will be required to be on a on call rotating roster.
